When it comes to industries that deal with electronic components, preventing electrostatic discharge (ESD) is a high priority. This is because ESD can severely damage delicate electronics thereby leading to expensive production delays as well as compromising the integrity of products. One way that has been proven effective in mitigating this risk, among others, is using specially designed ESD clothing like jackets and antistatic coat. 

The Need for ESD Protection

  • Design Flexibility: These garments can be found in various designs including those having lapel collars, V-necks among other customizable cuff terminations like snap cuffs as well as ESD knit cuffs; such options enable them to meet diverse needs within workplace settings while still maintaining functionality required from each type. 
  • Standards Compliance: For an ESD jacket to work effectively it must meet certain industry standards such as ANSI/ESD S20.20 which stipulates the dissipation performance of these apparel among others.
