Sustainable supply chain

A global supplier network
We work with around 900 direct suppliers worldwide. We believe long-term partnerships built on trust lead to better outcomes, from product quality to innovation. Many of our key supplier relationships have lasted for decades.
While our largest suppliers operate internationally, we also value strong partnerships with local suppliers in Europe and Asia. Most of our strategic suppliers are based in Europe, though a small number are located in countries classified as higher risk by the Amfori Country Risk Classification. To ensure responsible sourcing, we carry out annual risk assessments, both by country and by individual supplier.
Management of the supplier network
Our policies
The Supplier Code of Conduct outlines the essential requirements we expect from our suppliers, covering areas such as health and safety, environmental responsibility, anti-corruption, human rights, and the prohibition of child labour. Our procurement is guided by our Sustainable Procurement Policy and complementary guidelines that steer supplier management, selection of new suppliers, and evaluation. The Quality Assurance Handbook sets clear standards for the goods and materials we purchase, applying throughout the supply chain — from planning through to production and delivery.
Monitoring
We audit all strategic suppliers every three years. These audits — along with regular supplier discussions — focus on social and environmental responsibility, with occupational health and safety identified as a key risk area. Any issues found during audits are followed up through a formal process to ensure they are addressed.
Supplier engagement
Our Sustainability Champions Together programme brings together our most strategically significant global suppliers. It focuses on two core themes: supplier chain decarbonisation and social responsibility. We encourage our suppliers to commit to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and to collaborate with us in advancing meaningful climate action. In addition, we will define measurable targets to promote social responsibility. We support these goals through several educational webinars and in-person meetings.
