From a temporary contract to Head of Regional Finance – Vilma Mateviciene
Vilma Mateviciene is the Head of Regional Finance for the Baltics and Ukraine region and a regional FBU management team member. She started her journey at Lindström in 2009 when she joined as a maternity leave cover. This experience made her see the company’s exceptional working environment. In 2016 Vilma saw an ad for a fitting role Lindström and started to work as a Business Controller which fired up her career growth at the company.

As a manager, Vilma is dedicated to promoting an open, collaborative atmosphere that welcomes new ideas, problem-solving, and innovation. She takes great pride in her team, whose professionalism and growth constantly inspire her. As part of the regional team, Vilma contributes to shaping strategy, driving new initiatives, and offering insights that guide decision-making. She plays an active role in the company’s global sustainability efforts, overseeing strategic initiatives related to GHG reduction, textile recycling, and more. Her diverse portfolio of responsibilities involves a wide range of projects, making her a dynamic force in Lindström’s ongoing evolution. Sustainability at the Core
Vilma carries out actions for sustainability both within Lindström and in her daily life. Lindström’s focus on work-life balance enables employees to pursue their passions outside of work, and Vilma uses this opportunity by travelling, gaining new perspectives, and learning essential life lessons. She is also committed to personal growth, which can be seen in her academic achievements, having completed a second master’s degree while continuing to excel in her role at Lindström.
